Forward for Original Orchestral Instrumental and a nod to the forums
I recently got a forward on this piece that I actually felt pretty confident about when I submitted it (that's usually not the case for a lot of my submissions). Low and behold I even heard back from the library listed that they were interested in signing it.
I've learned a lot though my submissions and feedback over the last year. I've also been making more of an effort toward the end of this past year to learn from the forums and to participate more instead of just lurking. All the encouragement and genuine helpfulness from the members on here that I've been reading is refreshing and just plain cool. Well, that's probably enough rambling on for now. The song is called Road Trip (aka The Road Less Traveled) on my Soundcloud page...

ORIGINAL ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTALS and/or ORCHESTRAL/ELECTRO HYBRID INSTRUMENTALS are U-R-G-E-N-T-L-Y needed by a NON-Exclusive Music Library that’s pitching directly to a huge Ad Agency for a top Automotive Brand’s TV Commercial. They’re searching for Mid-to-Up Tempo Instrumentals that are in the ballpark of the following references: “BMW TV Commercial” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuB1JCYXzSM “Lexus RC F Car Commercial” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTK3R0H2jDM “2017 Lexus IS Luxury Sport Sedan: Innovation” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_J3gxDJCoz4 “NEW Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Commercial” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvKSQXsDHcI Please submit Orchestral and/or Orchestral/Electro-Hybrid Instrumentals with a sophisticated and modern feel and sound. Think rich, elegant, and sexy (in the automotive context), and not too slow; it should have enough momentum to keep the energy moving forward. If your Instrumental makes viewers feel like they’re carving through some hairpin turns in a gorgeous car they aspire to own, then you’re probably on the right track (pun fully intended). Speaking of tracks, make yours at about two minutes long and give it a non-faded, buttoned/stinger ending. Do NOT copy or rip-off the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). This company offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 split. You'll get 100% of the Writer's share. The Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit for this pitch. Please submit one to three Instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. All submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PST) on Sunday, January 22nd, 2017. TAXI #U170122OI

Re: Forward for Original Orchestral Instrumental and a nod to the forums
Hi Chris,
Nice job! The strings are very authentic-sounding (to my ears) and I like the hybrid elements that enter later on.
Good luck with the forward.

Re: Forward for Original Orchestral Instrumental and a nod to the forums
Congrats Chris on the forward!
If I may, a small suggestion to make your sound a bit bigger and less synth-y, is to layer different patches for the same section.
In your case, and in this specific track, the "kick" drum could have been doubled with a low boom, along with a timpani, and maybe a metallic hit or something.. It would give a fuller sound.
In other words, with each section, try to spread your sounds across the frequency spectrum.
again, congrats on the forward, and hoping for a deal

Sounds great! Good luck with the forward.
I had 3 Hybrid Orchestras returned for various reasons. Funny thing is, one has already been in a car commercial.
