Ghost-hunting style instrumental forward!

Post by Neil » Tue May 24, 2016 4:07 pm

Wow. What a month! My cue "Ouija Board" (on my taxi page if you'd like to hear it) was forwarded for the simple ghotst-hunting style instrumental listing. I am so excited!

SIMPLE GHOST-HUNTING Style UNDERSCORE INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a busy and extremely active, Non-Exclusive Music Library that’s actively building multiple new Instrumental Catalogs. They’re hunting (yes, pun intended) for suspenseful, tension-filled, Down-to-Mid-Tempo Underscore Cues that could work well for shows like (but not limited to) Paranormal State, A Haunting, Ghost Hunters International, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the music used in these shows to give yourself a solid idea of the sound they’re after: Paranormal State (3:06 to 4:10): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frp0iM-lLTg A Haunting (4:00 to 5:15): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFk3hm9tjQI Ghost Hunters International (6:41 to 7:20): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxbvTcz8PTI Please submit eerie, ominous, spine-tingling Underscore Cues that give the audience a feeling of unsettling anticipation. Your submissions should focus on a sparse central melodic idea, while weaving layers of various instrumentation and dynamic elements in and out to keep your Cues moving forward, and sonically engaging. You’d be smart to start out fairly sparse, while building tension until your Cue gets to a climactic finish without becoming too bombastic or intense. Simplicity is key! Imagine the type of music you’d hear while a lead investigator walks through a dark attic searching for any signs of paranormal activity. That’s what they need! All submissions should be at least 2 minutes long, with a crescendo that leads to a buttoned/stinger ending. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced music in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (Great sounding home recordings are fine). This Library offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 Deal. You’ll get 50% of any applicable sync fees and 100% of the Writer’s share. The Publisher will get 50% of applicable sync fees and 100% of the Publisher’s Share on the version they pitch. You’ll keep 100% of the original copyright. You must own or control the Master and Copyright to submit to this pitch. Please submit one to three Instrumental Cues online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by TAXI - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PST), on Monday, May 16th, 2016. TAXI #U160515GH
