Might be a dumb question: but, did you play a resonator guitar on that track - if so, what kind is it, please?
Steve Boy, Steve Barden, Graham, Loren, Jenny & Anna - thanks all !

Peter, yes I used my extremely cheap and nasty Dean copy of a National resonator. Brass body with chrome over.
The fingerboard was coming away from the neck when it arrived in the post ( it came through ebay via Arizona - careful buying secondhand guitars on there folks!) and at a recent gig the neck actually snapped!
Fortunately a friend of mine ( who also built me a square neck Dobro -style resonator I use for Bluegrass ) was able to repair the poor wee beastie and so now, although it's pretty tough to play, it doesn't sound too bad at all. Here's a pic! Cheers/Steve

Well - I really like the sound those have. I don't play slide guitar, but that photo is only enhancing my 'lust' to get one, and add it to the arsenal.
A local luthier has a few hanging in his shop - I think they are Roadking (?).
Other than NOT BUYING CRAP off ebay or Amazon (I buy new gear on Amazon) - got any recommendations?

Hi Peter. Yes they are lovely things and great fun to mess around with. I don't know the Roadking models so can't comment on them. Ozark make a good medium priced range, and Dean ( same make as mine) build good guitars too. If you want them to have electrics on them ( like mine has with a "biscuit" pickup under the bridge and a "lipstick" in the front) then the price will go up. But if you just want a reasonably priced acoustic resonator guitar to mess around on, go try a few out. Good hunting! :-)

Congrats Mr. Curtis!
Let's hope it earns some $ for ya

I'm working on a "Bro Country" tune that has me thinking of you all the time
It's going to take some time (a year?) due to lyrics and all...
When I get a little deeper into it (get scratch vocals in place) I'm going to hit you up to collaborate the finished product
Might ask you to not just play but also sing!?! :D
Here's the start of it: https://soundcloud.com/robert-cass-mcen ... econd-kiss

Hope you are well!

Hi Cass! All good here thanks and hope the same with you.
That sounds like a lot of fun and thanks for thinking of me.
(Maybe I should break out my best Taylor Swift costume for the ensuing video!   )
Just back from a tour so I have some time on my hands. You have my email address but if you need it again pm me.
Cheers mate.

Gongrats Steve, nice track! That resonator sounds as good as it looks! I just want one to hang on my wall, they just look so cool
