Guit. Cab Plugin Experiment

Post by ernstinen » Sun Mar 11, 2018 10:31 pm

Hey All,

I'm fairly new to using plugins, even though I have in Pro Tools a bit. But now in Digital Performer, I've got a bunch of options to play with!

I recorded my '63 Statocaster direct into my Soundcraft 1-S board through my Soldano SP-77 tube preamp for a solo guitar track. Sounded pretty good.

But in DP, I've got tons of options for guitar cabinets. I've always been a 4x12 guy, but to my surprise, the 4x10 plugin (barely) sounded better!

I'm a blues/rock player, and I know that the classic sound is a 4x10 amp. Maybe I should buy one?

Cheers,

Ern 8-)
