hey willie--for some reason it takes about 5 minutes to load your stuff on my computer, so i'm a bit tardy,but it cleared my ears for sure. has a good groove, but isn't too remarkable until the high guitar comes in--also have no timing thing from the site--must be my damned computer settings, but it's the high notes i dig, and it gives it better balance--i'd introduce more of them to the piece IMHO. later on, not crazy about the freeflow thing, though i'm sure many will be. just sounds a bit by "accident", but again, might be an accident on purpose!keep rockin,whoh, the production sounds quite good on this for a loud rocking tune--great job. sounds like library time for it,no?

This is a pretty cool track so far. Its in demo stage so I won't comment on drums and I would be interested in what you plan on for bass. The vocals will really be important for most of this and should be KILLER as I feel your verses are a bit long and repititious. You'll need to overcome this with a vocal. The rest is pretty contemporary sounding metal! Lastly, I would suggest turning up the treble when you are using the whammy bar. Those are good licks there but there isn't much prescence in the sound. Just MHO.Good Luck!Keith

You know they tried my whole school life to get me into the library, who knew I'd make a carreer of it! LOL! Tanks as usual w for the listen, I'm gonna do a major overhaul on da drums me thinks and I'll likely rerecord much of the guitar work once I get my pci card from mazzy, any day now! First time in two years I haven't been able to walk downstairs and lay tracks (upgraded computer so have to upgrade my Motu pci card to be compatable). However I've got my trusty digital guitar backup gear (which is also my backup rig for live shows, if my amp rig going down I swap over to my POD XT Live floor unit and it set to "simulate" all my analog amps and pedals... a GREAT cheap backup that sounds decent to the untrained/slightly saused ear and weighs a thousand pounds less then my live rig setup!).

uh, now willie, you know i have absolutely NO f-ing idea what you're talking about--i don't know nothin' 'bout them motu pci card things man....but it's fun reading it....i hated the library too, but of course that aint the one we're talking about, is it? i did end up reading all of steinbeck's stuff, all of jack london's, and all of conan doyle's "holmes" works--but have no time reading nowadays, rather try to write songs...LOL.wh

I read ONE book from cover to cover though school (read the beginning, skip to the end and hit the ball field) durring a rainy summer week in jr high called Empire Strikes Back cause it was sitting around and I was board. Books are just to darn slow for me, I need data fast and then get on with life. Scripts were VERY different, being a theatre major (theatre is the Canadian spelling so stick a sock in your "never read a book so he can't spell" cakehole whoever is reading this and was an english major) so it's not like I didn't read but PURSOSE was the issue for me and fiction and books have NO purpose in my head, LOL!!! W, sorry bout the tech schtuff but its how guys like me make guys like you Grammy winners...

Whoa dude...cut back on the compression!This thing is pumping and breathin' like a porn star going for the money shot.I'd start the mix over from scratch. You're getting ahead of yourself with all the squashing before the parts have been worked out...IMO.
