Quote:Congratulations John!! Excellent piece, great high profile placement...one to open your reel with methinks .Steve,no need to be too envious (financially speaking at least)...people tend to overestimate by far how much something like this pays. I find promos pay next to nothing, except for the ones that air during previous episodes of the show. That's why it takes a large catalog to make a nice living with this stuff. But then it does really start to add up... Thanks everyone. As far as finances go, I'll have to defer to Matto on this because it'll be 6 months (at least) before ASCAP sends me anything for this quarter. I just got a statement for the second quarter of 2007 so as you can see it takes a while.Ditto on the large catalog thing. I've written at least 12 pieces since the first of the year already (that's a lot for me), all of them for this project or demos for upcoming potential projects. I think it takes that kind of pace, at least, to get that catalog up to where it is viable. I hope to be able to verify this for real in my life one of these years soon!! In the meantime I'm taking Matto at his word and I have no reason to doubt him!!Thanks again everyone for your support!MazzPS: Watch the show tomorrow (daytime).

I was honoured to hear this composition today, and I have to say that it is stunning & deserves to be in a major movie & on a treasured soundtrack. Very well done, Mazz.

I just heard it again last night and got to listen a little closer, now that I know it's yours. WOW!! That's a great piece you did, Mazz!! I've been watching for it, and each time I see it, I'm thinking KA-CHING for you!!! (I realize that's not exactly how it works, but it makes me feel so good to hear that song of yours right up there in the limelight!!)Congrats again, Mazz! Raags
