Depends on how you see it personally - artist vs artisan thing
Production music definitely has "artists"
e.g. I would say Matt Vander Boegh does cues that are very cool pieces of music.
And I think that is the bar worth aiming for - i.e. where the cue is also a bit of art.
The business has a volume angle as well so it's not a simple goal.

Hey, thanks for your thoughts. I like "artist vs artisan", good way to put it...
