I cantare italiano magnificamente

Post by hummingbird » Thu May 01, 2008 6:07 pm

Just thought I'd mention, if anyone is interested in a PopOpera collaboration or needs a hand, that I can sing in Italian (Can't write it though...). Not too much in the stratosphere, though (I'm a mezzo) ITALIAN LOVE SONGS with a POP/ADULT CONTEMPORARY style/tone a la Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban (his Italian songs), Il Divo, Sarah Brightman (but in Italian), Eros Ramazzotti, etc. are needed immediately by an Independent Record Label who is releasing a comp CD through a major distributor. Male or female vocals are just fine. They need ONLY Italian vocals, so please send English translations attached to your submissions. The style and tone should fit into a Pop/AC category musically, but it's okay if the song isn't completely current. They're open to hearing anything that sounds like it could be written in the '80s or later. Be sure that the sound isn't too classical or operatic, as they're really looking for Pop/AC love songs with Italian vocals/lyrics. No covers for this one, just originals. Excellent sound quality and performances are absolutely necessary and the tracks/songs should sound ready to go! They will not be re-recording any material. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. As usual, you'll be notified by email whether your submission has been returned or forwarded. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS -NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received by Noon PST on Monday, May 5, 2008. TAXI #D080505AC

Hi Hummingbird: I'm an Italian composer/songwriter in the LA area and am always looking for good people to sing songs in Italian. Obviously, it's too late for this listing, but I'm sure there will be others we could maybe collaborate towards. Do you have any samples of music with your vocal talents I could listen to?Thanks!

Hi Hummingbird and thank you so much for your interest. I listened to the tracks and I like the music! You have a refined voice that works well for those genres. I am, however, looking for a much more potent, almost true operatic voice. The songs I'm thinking of recording all have extreme ranges and are very classical to pop crossover. Thanks and good luck!
