Inexpensive Great Studio Monitors
Dear All,
I am not in any way affiliated with Kali but those of you who are gearheads like me probably already heard of these expensive speakers made by Kali (https://www.kaliaudio.com). I was looking for a second pair of monitors and my set arrived today. I am really impressed!! I doubt that you can find a better pair of monitor speakers at that price point. I do not have a very good room and still they sound very balanced (comparing the sound to my trusted Sennheiser 650 headphones). So, if you are in the market and don't want to spend a lot of money I can really recommend them.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Matt

Cool, there are some great recommendations there. SOS used to be my bible reference when I was buying studio gear. Gearslutz are usually a bit [read a lot] fussy too!

Thanks for the "Heads Up" Matt...
I'm not looking for monitors, BUT... Their Bluetooth to Monitor Controller is something I could use!

Way to go. I am sure later models will be more expensive now that they built a reputation.jessecarrigan wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2019 1:53 pmSaved these to my Sweetwater wish list for later - thanks!

Now that you've had them for a while, are you still happy with them? How are they working out? I'm trying to choose budget home monitors and I'm considering the Kalis. How are your mixes with them?

I love my Kali LP-6's. I've had them for a few months. These are the first studio monitors I've ever had-- up til now I've mixed on headphones and sometimes a set of computer speakers I got at ALDI of all places (They sounded surprisingly good, just not real monitors).
I don't have the sophisticated ears to compare them to anything mega expensive but I hear a lot of detail in them and they sound great. Before getting these, I didn't care about mixing because lacking monitors, I didn't see the point in trying to study mixing. Now that I have something solid to which I can anchor my ears, I've been learning a lot more about mixing and production in general.
