Introducing myself.

Post by boyatheart » Wed Nov 26, 2008 6:35 pm

Hi everyone. I am a new Taxi member. I am from the UK, but currently based in Thailand.I was a Taxi member in 2001 and I went to the road rally back then too with a co-songwriter, but at the time I thought I knew it all and I didn't think Taxi was any good for me (probably because I didn't score an amazing deal at the Rally!).Now I am open to learning more and listening more. I write mainly rock/pop styles and I have only been writing lyrics since Dec 2007, whereas I used to only write music. I just completed a new album, which is available for free for now and I am looking for a way to get it out there and find my audience. My instrument of choice is guitar and I record and mix my own stuff, which is my big passion. I love the whole process of writing, recording and producing a song, but I need to work on my networking much more.Hopefully I will be able to contribute to others here and learn a thing or two in the process.Look forward to getting to know you all.

Hey ya b.a.h. Thailand sound like an adventure! I'm a Canadian living in Seattle, WA USA with most of my relatives from England, Ireland or Scotland. Lived in Birkenhead and London for a year, I do love the Brittans. Some of the best rock music in history comes from there, must have been a great place to be musically influenced! Welcome back, I'd love to hear some of your work when you’re ready to post links... ;-) wta

Gave up guilt when I left the ol' school girl uniform behind. You know, cute little skirts and knee socks, nuns and rulers and all that.

Oh yeah wta... Thailand is a bit of an adventure, just got married in June and have plans on staying here now. Not too straightforward for musicians, but I'm working on it The language is hard too, but the pace is slower than back home, which is good and the food is great.
