Folks,
It's a bit late to be posting this--the submission is due tomorrow, Thursday--but I could use any last-minute thoughts on anything that might get me closer to the reference track from Royal Blood, "Trouble's Coming."
Here's my track
Here's the relevant verbiage from the listing:
"ALTERNATIVE ROCK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a very successful Music Publisher with a long track record of placements in Film, TV, and Commercials.
This Publisher is searching for quite a few Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that might fit on a playlist with the following references:
WARNING: The references may include graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.
"Trouble's Coming" by Royal Blood
"Idaho" by Slow Pulp
"brutal" by Olivia Rodrigo
Please send modern Alternative Rock Songs with engaging melodies, memorable choruses, and lots of great energy. Compelling, well-performed vocals are a must for this pitch, as well. Instrumentation that's generally similar to the references will suit your submissions best. Please be sure that your production and any virtual instruments or samples you use are high-quality and modern.
Avoiding references to specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity will be the most appealing to this client. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed."
Thanks in advance,
Bob

Really cool track!
I'd pay some specific attention to the dB levels of the main vocals. When the other instruments are making a full sound it almost gets drowned and it could be more up front; in the quieter musical sections it is fine as it is.
