Just renewed after 10 years!

Hey all - I just renewed in time for the virtual Rally and am so excited to be back. I guess I'm a Taxi "boomerang", as I was one of the first members wayyyy back in the early 90's and most recently 2010. I used to send cassette submissions using the famous "Taxi burrito" in the 90's... I attended the 2010 Rally and loved every minute, then "life" happened and suddenly it's 10 years later! Back then my production chops were not very good and I needed a lot of help. I've learned a lot since and look forward to the ongoing adventure of "write, submit, forget, repeat"

Welcome back! I think I've seen you around these parts before! I've been on this forum since around 2004. I first joined Taxi in the early 2000s and sent in my fair share of cassettes! Lots of burritos!

Welcome back Mary! I as well was an early member when TAXI started up in the 90's..I joined when they first started..I sent in the burritos too! I still have some cassettes with my old member number taped on them...After a couple years or more of no forwards, I didn't renew until 4 years ago. Very soon I had a signing with a great library. More as well having attended 3 rallies and the community is wonderful..and the education and inspiration from great reads...it's a great world to be involved in especially these troubled days!

Oh wow, thanks so much Tom! Mountain Angel is ancient. I wrote it in 1985 and recorded it in 1987 on a Tascam 8-track tape deck at a friend's studio I've long lost contact with. I've often thought it could use an updated recording!

Welcome back. I have a similar situation. I am a current member who got away from submitting after having car accidents and family weddings kept me away from the Rally the past 3 years. I even forgot my login info for the website and the forums.I was able to reset them today. Hopefully I can get myself back to participating

That's great, Mary - welcome back!
As others have mentioned beyond yourself, I'm also in a similar frame. Four years ago life happened and I dropped out of Taxi after almost a decade.
I landed in a situation where I couldn't write that much, let alone record.
I'm now home again and back in my studio - and so happy for that!
