Just Renewed Again

Post by Casey H » Sat Sep 17, 2022 7:48 am

I just renewed Taxi again, for around the 13th or 14th year in a row. :mrgreen: :D 8-)

While I've been submitting less and less over the years (Have a bunch of "go to" direct library contacts now), I continue to re-up to support the organization that got me started and of course, support the Road Rally. The overwhelming majority of my "go to" libraries are because of Taxi. Also virtually all my co-writers, WFH artists, and producers are because of this Taxi community.

Thank you Taxi and all of YOU!

:D Casey

I don't have the same mileage as you but will continue to support the company for the same reasons. I check the new listings every morning to see if any of them suit the genres I am good at and keep submitting direct to libraries.

Mileage on me? :lol: Well it's true my oldometer is getting way up there! :lol:

Seriously, a lot of my success is not directly through Taxi listing/forwards though some definitely is. A ton of it is this community, the rally, and the relationships formed as a result. Yes, this forum is free and one can attend the rally as a free guest. But how does all that get paid for? Glad you keep supporting the folks who made this all possible for us. 8-)

That's like asking
Q: "Who built beautiful Las Vegas?"
A: "Mostly? Losers." (OUCH!! - okay, that's meant to be a joke... :? :shock: 8-) :mrgreen: )
...then again, there's a reason the place is often referred to as "Lost Wages".

Conversely - the listings and reference tracks are designed to take most or all of THE LUCK out of the process;
so, that makes all the difference to those who hone their writing & production skills to meet the challenge and demand.

Good onya, Casey -
see you in L.A. (providing the peace remains).

Darn. I lost the betting pool on how long it would take you to respond. I had 13 minutes, but it was 22. :lol: :lol: :lol:

It's a game of skill at that point, the luck part is signing the music to a great library - and that's a crap shoot

And thank YOU for supporting TAXI, Casey! Another great reason to stick with TAXI is that we've been adding new listing clients like crazy over the last 2-3 years. Really good ones!! Even though you've got "go to" companies, they all have peaks and valleys as shows get cancelled, supervisors change, etc. Adding NEW go to clients to you list is always a great idea.
