Try making a copy of your Taxi Homepage photo/avatar - make sure it meets the 90 X 90 pixels requirement (or whatever it is); upload THAT photo
to your Homepage; click onto it to grab the URL, and paste THAT into your avatar settings for the Forums.

That's NOT the ONLY way to do it - just one of many that ought to work... hopefully.
DISCLAIMER: Your mileage may vary.

And - for what it's worth: true story about avatar photos v. real people:

at my first RR, I saw a guy I thought I recognized from his Forums photo, due to he usually wears a hat. He was sitting down when I approached him to introduce myself - and find out if he was who I thought he was. When he stood up, he was quite tall;
and we exchanged greetings and handshakes when I told him my name. The opening conversation went something like:
He said, "WOW! From your photo I thought you were a big, tall guy!"
To which I replied, "WOW! From your photo I thought you were a short, fat guy!"
After a few belly laughs - we immediately became good friends... and ever since.

yep tried the profile pic change, loaded a pic onto a cloud with its own cute mini url too.. no matter what way i do it it comes up "Invalid URL" on the avatar upload bit
