Haha I just had to update my picture too in preparation for the rally!
I somewhat recently cut off over two feet of hair, I don't look much like my old photo

You had feet in your hair?! Or hairy feet? I'm a bit of a Samsonite, myself...markhimley wrote:Haha I just had to update my picture too in preparation for the rally!

Re: Just reserved a room
well Jenny i look forward to seeing you. historically despite having great trouble sleeping on planes i try to stay up to the evening (11pm ish) to force my system to align to the local time, so will likely be looking for food when i land at 7:30pm local time. you landing earlier?jennym wrote:Hi Alasdair,

Likewise Alastair! Sleeping on planes for a great length of time isn't my forte either.Alasdair wrote:well Jenny i look forward to seeing you. historically despite having great trouble sleeping on planes i try to stay up to the evening (11pm ish) to force my system to align to the local time, so will likely be looking for food when i land at 7:30pm local time. you landing earlier?jennym wrote:Hi Alasdair,

Just checking out flights atm, most are 6 or 6:30am arrival. Sleep, coffee & food are a priority on arrival indeed.

I live about an hour north of Sydney, with beautiful beaches just down the road...I'm a lucky gal.
I've done the Syd to LAX a couple of times, but not for awhile...
I hope you enjoyed your visits to Oz, will you be visiting again?

I spoke to peter aka funsongs and he said there is a 24hr place 5 mins walk East of Westin called Denny's (everything American kind of food place)
also almost next door is a Thai place.
He said that most places there are not the most cost friendly but these are reasonable or at least offer good food.
