What part of Sydney do you live in, Jenny?
Made a couple of those Sydney-LAX flights myself........ they're always a good time.......
Have you flown out that way much in the past?
I live about an hour north of Sydney, with beautiful beaches just down the road...I'm a lucky gal.
I've done the Syd to LAX a couple of times, but not for awhile...
I hope you enjoyed your visits to Oz, will you be visiting again?
Soooo jealous.. Sydney and many places in Australia are on my bucket list.. managed to do most of Europe. some of Asia and a few places in US...
I spoke to peter aka funsongs and he said there is a 24hr place 5 mins walk East of Westin called Denny's (everything American kind of food place)
also almost next door is a Thai place.
He said that most places there are not the most cost friendly but these are reasonable or at least offer good food.
I'm sure you'd really enjoy Australia, so many amazing places to see & experience.
I've travelled a little myself, but many more places to explore...
Ok, thanks again Peter! You're very informative & helpful as always

Oh nice - up Palm Beach direction? I used to live there for several years - South of Sydney though, at Maroubra beach. Definitely overdue for a visit!

Actually - Denny's is on the next intersection/corner/other side of street WEST of the Westin (you can probably get a visual on Google Maps easily enough);
and the Thai food place is just a few doors EAST of the Westin, same side of the street - providing nothing's changed since last year's RR.
Those aren't the only places - probably just the most trafficked by Taxi-ites. You can probably order Domino's Pizza delivered to the hotel.
Splitting/sharing that with a small group is one way of saving a little bit of your cash.

Yes, you're heading in the right direction!
You would be well acquainted with Sydney then...really looking forward to chatting with you

I'll be purchasing my plane ticket tomorrow and now I'm looking for roommates for the hotel at the Rally. I'm housebroken and independent and quiet. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Hi Guys!,
I'm looking forward to my first Road Rally and will be flying in from the UK. However, I seem to be missing something!
I've been waiting for the Registration to open to get all the info and reserve my room. Micheal said on TAXI TV that the registration will be open in about 24 hours from the show. I'm currently sat with this page:
https://www.taxi.com/taxi-road-rally-2016.php#
When I click the button nothing happens. After reading that rooms are being reserved I can't help thinking I might be missing something?
Any advice is welcome.
Best regards
Kevin
