Laid Back (Mish-Mash as Requested)

Post by johndalenow » Sat May 04, 2019 9:53 pm

Don't know why the sample links are not always "live." Has anyone else had this problem?

Please comment if you can.

CHILL, LAID-BACK INSTRUMENTALS with some Hip-Hop Flavor are needed for an (up to) $5,000, NON-Exclusive, Direct-to-Supervisor placement in a Netflix TV Series.

Quoting the Source: “They're very open to considering different styles, as long as the Instrumental has a cool laid-back vibe. The genre can range from Hip-Hop, EDM, Emo, or a fusion of it all. It just needs to keep the laid-back style of the references.”

Please listen to the references below to get in the general range of what might get this Music Supervisor’s attention:

“Rocket Love” by Yesterday's New Quintet

“Eucalyptus” by MF DOOM

"Talamak" by Toro Y Moi

NOTE: “This TV series takes place in 2010, so your submissions need to be from, or at least sound like they're from 2010. Nothing before 2008, and nothing after 2011, please! If your Instrumental has been commercially released, please don't send music from the wrong time period. They are going to check everything on Spotify, iTunes, etc. for release dates."

Please send them well-crafted Instrumentals with a laid-back vibe that falls in the stylistic ballpark of the references mentioned above. Your production should have era-appropriate instrumentation with smooth, mellow grooves, and slick, grooving beats.

All submissions should be about 2-4 minutes long, with Non-Faded, buttoned endings. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

The estimated license fee for this use is up to $5,000, depending on the ultimate placement. This is a Direct-to-Music-Supervisor placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Master and Composition rights, plus you’ll also get 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All Submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Music Supervisor- No Full Critiques. All submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT) on Friday, May 17th, 2019. TAXI #Y190517LB
