Hi,
I was one of the first member to see your post before any comments but didn't know how to reply or where to start. Everyone is trying to help you so I want to share this book with you which is still to this day one of the best books for music theory.

https://www.amazon.ca/Elementary-Rudime ... 1554400112

I hope you find a way to overcome this and you are honest with yourself.

Good luck.

Hello eveyone, This is a new song of mine.

Those who have trained ears to hear any imperfections of my sounded mix, feedback on how to make it more "industry standard" that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I hear the same issues everyone has already pointed out.
The vocal melody is as weird as the "music"
But your vocal doesn't sound bad or pitchy sounding,

I would be interested in hearing you sing to a backing track - even a karaoke one as it maybe that you can actually sing when freed from the weirdness of your homespun creations.

I reckon you could have something.

Hi SibRaver, Time is very important and I do value the time you took to comment on my post here.

I am not the one singing on my track, it is my vocal collaborator. I write songs.
Mainly we (myself and vocalist) are looking for a musician/producer to work with us (collab) but in the meantime I am creating music or......? to showcase my songs and with such help like these from you guys here at Taxi I am also learning from my music creation mistakes little by little.

But I do perform vocals on some of my songs.

How are you putting these songs together ? There is obviously a flaw in your process we need to get to the bottom of. Are you playing the keys ? Drawing them in ? What is the method here.
Mark, I create my music from a DAW, putting in each note and chord one at a time into the piano roll, Think I'll do a video of my creative process so you guys can tell me what I am doing wrong.

As always, Mark is giving really good advice here.

You know, Have you heard of the theory books "Musical Principles for the Skeptical Guitarist"?

What a life changer these theory books have been for me, https://www.skepticalguitarist.com/

-Jonathan
Hi Jonathan, Has time becomes available to me I'll for sure check out "Musical Principles for the Skeptical Guitarist".

Thank you for making this known to me.

Irwin, this hurts my ears. I'm not saying that to be mean or be overly-critical, but you did want honest feedback,

Like Mark, I'd be very interested to see how you approach making songs. Maybe you could record a step-by-step video that shows us your creation process, from having a blank workspace, to workable music bed. I'd like to see how you go about doing this, as it almost doesn't seem possible to make something so atonal without purposely trying to.

~~Matt
Yes Matt, I do need honest feedback from my song creations.

I will do a video from start to finest or how I create my music production.

Thanks for the comment and advice.

Someone like you might benefit from a program like Band In a Box, though it's pricey (especially if you add on more styles). Not at all for final, usable Film/TV material, but to generate arrangements that at least have all the instruments playing together in a given rhythm, tempo and key. Then at least your vocalist can sing over that and we know the only thing that needs tuning is the vocal. To be clear again, this would NOT create pitchable material but it would allow you to communicate your song ideas better and maybe find a collaborator.

With BIAB, you select a style, key, and tempo and type the chords out measure by measure. You can export the music to an audio file (e.g. wav) to use in your DAW.

They don't offer a free trial, but I'm pretty sure they offer a 30 day money-back guarantee so you could give it a try. MHO is all the books in the world and ear training aren't going to get you where you need to be. Or at least it would take so many years and so much effort, you'd die trying.

Best,
:-) Casey

Thank you Casey,

I do find the reason why the chords were harmonically clashing and I fix it: Please! have a listen to this 3rd version that I've redone of the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3amCWQTvtI
