Listing trends

Post by mikehamm123 » Wed Nov 29, 2017 2:46 pm

When I first signed up for Taxi, about 1 1/2 years ago, there were lots of listings for movie trailers and tension underscores.

Haven’t seen a trailer listing in a long time. Tension underscores come and go. Now it seems dramedy cues are the bread and butter of instrumental cues?

I assume it has to do with what agencies/libraries are coming to drink at the Taxi ‘well’?

Anyone notice other changes?

Listings change with the times, it's all about what is hip at the moment. (unlike the word "hip"). :)

There were tons of tension/underscore listings last year and a lot of EDM the year before. I've seen more jazz listings this year than the past two. Future Bass is all the rage, as is Trap (but Trap seems to be slowing down in the listings as well). 80s seems to be making a comeback thanks to a few key shows.

True. I mostly do underscores so am not even pretending to follow trends in pop/dance/electronic music.
