Hello,
I'm new to the publisher/licensing aspect of music. I've been submitting my band's music to pretty much everything I can think of. Some through Taxi. We were accepted into the non-exclusive sites. I've been contacted by two companies that appear to be more exclusive. One wants exclusivity for 5 years. I would have to remove our songs from the other sites. The other one is more on the non-exclusive side, but they will act as our publishers, since we don't have one and can't afford to start an LLC. They said we can still pitch our songs to other companies as long as they are not re-titling the songs.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Looking for insights on library/publishing companies
Hi Phil - One of the Forum rules is not to name specific publishers since it's a public forum and Taxi needs to keep up good, professional relationships with all of their clients. Would probably be wise to edit your post. That said I will pm you with some insight.
