Looking for Lyricist after good critic from Robin Frederick

Post by pveniot » Mon Oct 21, 2019 9:13 pm

Hi all,
Since my native language is French I am searching for a lyricist
that is native english speaking...

The song was reviewed on TAXI TV by Robin Frederick and she had some nice words about it...

Here is the song

https://soundcloud.com/pierre-veniot/because-of-you

The main idea is there, needs a better idiomatic feeling... (or something !)

Please send private message

See you soon.

Pierre

Just a follow-up - in case you are still in search of some assistance with English-language lyrics.

Hi, great.
As first step, can you send me something you wrote.
See if I can come with some music on it...
Thx

My reply to your original post was with the understanding that you were looking for help with English grammar for lyrics that you wrote; and not my search for music.
To that - this is was what I offered: (EDITED what I'd sent via private message (PM):

Hello from San Diego.
First - it would be a big help if you posted the lyrics TO YOUR SONG on your Soundcloud page,
so that I can see if I can be of any help to you.

For what it's worth, as a reference: I wrote lyrics for a local Jazz composer's music, and then did the work to find a translator
(it took 3 ladies helping me, actually!) - to create my rendition of the song as a Gypsy/Jazz piece.
They are on my Soundcloud page, if you want to READ THE LYRICS, FROM THAT TRANSLATION.
The original was
Sentimentally Me

which later became
Moi Sentimentalement

Is this project for a listing, or have a deadline?

SO - pardon any misunderstanding. Are you no longer needing help with YOUR SONG LYRICS?
Cheers.

Hi Peter.
Thanks for your reply.
Nice jazz ballad!.
I am looking for future collaboration, no deadlines yet!
I will keep you in mind for my next song.
I don't write songs often, but when I do
I will certainly send you a link for you to work on if you like it.
I reckon you are member of a PRO ?
See you around!

Pierre
