I don't have this yet, but it's on my list. It's quite amazing sounding, but I heard you need a powerful CPU to run this properly.

$80 at http://www.jrrshop.com/ with coupon FORUM for next 7 days.

re cpu - I have not tested but heard it takes approx 9% on a typical pc.

I am rarely impressed by vst synths but this one sounds great. This one actually sounds inspiring to my ears.

I bought this and devastator.

I think this vst is going to become somewhat of a classic and the price is unlikely to be this good in the near future.
My strategy is I try to only buy the best vst's so they will last and hold there value reasonably well.... this fits the bill.

Note to self - no more purchases in 2013 - vst coffers are empty.

re cpu - some people report their pc's struggle with a couple of instances some have managed 10 so I guess it varies a bit.

It definitely is a processor hog but thats why is so good.

Yes, I agree 100%

Have you seen/tried u-he's Diva (similar situation): http://www.u-he.com/cms/diva?

The price is amazing - lush normally $199 i.e. approx the same as diva.

I have done a fair bit of listening to the lush and diva demos and I prefer the sound of lush as I would be using this for pop/rock/electronica/electro.

Lush has its roots in a sh-101 which it why it does squelchy leads so well, but its functionality has been expanded massively so it can create the standard common palette of synth sounds .... I love the sounds of the soft pads and how with another sound it can sound quite hard....quite amazing how it is so flexible.

Diva sounds more like a copy of a "clean" sounding synth to me - which makes it a more accurate emulation of some synths when the filters are not hit too hard - some prefer that accuracy - bit like a jupiter 6 when the filters are not hit hard - but what makes a jupiter 6 sound so great to me is hitting the filters hard!

I can see how they are quite complimentary if you do a lot of electronic music.

I think it's personal taste - I dont think one is better than the other - some reach for a tele others a strat.

If you look at gearslutz/kvr opinion is divided on which is the best....with agreement that they both sound great.

But at $80 I think there is a clear winner ;) Lucky for me the one I prefer is the one with the deal.

If anyone is interested, I think the jrr deal ends at the end of the week - so dont rely on the accuracy of my previous next 7 day deal post.

AudioDeluxe also has a 50% off "5 Days of NAMM" special going on just in case.....

It seems to me that these relatively more recent VST synths really have reach new heights of sonic purity. Even going back to Sylenth, when I first played that synth it was so thick and rich and was free of any artifacts...there was no "veil," no aliasing, no "lo-fi" ness or compression (for lack of a better descriptor)....nothing....to me, the sounds seemed just pure. I think this new LuSH101 as well as the uHe Diva, etc...and Diversion synth have this purity of tone.

These new synths sound so great.....with my same gear, same sample rate (48k), same everything....I really think that this shows that digital can be done and is being done exceedingly well...dare I say, maybe even "perfectly." :o
