“I don’t mind”
(Verse)
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind that you gotta go
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind if we take it slow
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind that you need your space
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind if we keep your pace
(Chorus)
But if we wait too long, like we did before
That same old song won’t bring me back to your door
(2x)
(Verse)
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind you’re the hurtin’ kind
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind if you change your mind
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind, don’t care anymore
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind you chose to ignore
(Chorus)
But if we wait too long, like we did before
That same old song won’t bring me back to your door
(2x)
(Guitar Solo)
(Chorus)
But if we wait too long, like we did before
That same old song won’t bring me back to your door
(2x)
(Verse)
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind that I knew from the start
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind that you’ll break my heart
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind that it’s killing me
I don’t mind, oh lord no, don’t mind I’m in misery
(Chorus)
But if we wait too long, like we did before
That same old song won’t bring me back to your door
(2x)

Re: Lyric review
Just an observation: reading before listening*, the title doesn't appear in the Chorus, but it's all over the Verses.
Seems like either switch it up, so that the Title/Chorus/Hook (in the music) act together;
OR - change the title to match the Chorus you have.
i.e. Back To Your Door
IMHO, it's also a more interesting title -
even a bit of mystery; what's this song gonna tell me?
(without hearing the music/melody/hook yet... that's just a guess)

(*EDIT: now to go listen...)

Re: Lyric review
Peter, I appreciate the input. You make some valid points. Although there are various songwriting styles out there. There is a lot of songs out there that don't have the title of the song in the chorus or even in the song at all for that matter. For example Led Zeppelin was notorious for that
