Hello!
This is my first post and I hope that's the right place for looking for a lyrics reviewer.
My native tongue is not English, but I always listened to rock & roll and I wrote a lot of songs in English with my music project.
I've submitted my songs to some listings on Taxi, they never forwarded my songs, but I received a very interesting review where basically they said that It was too hard to descern meaning and intent in the lyrics. I must admit that that lyrics wasn't exactly something to be proud of, but also where I did a good work with words, I recognize in my songs (not in all) too much confusion. So, I really would like somebody who could read my lyrics and advise. I'm not looking for a corrector; I think that good lyrics must ideally paint a clear scenario, and most of the times I have problem to realize it.
I really hope to find someone who could help me.
Cheers

Hi metibla,
Welcome to the Lyrics Lovers forum.
Yes, this is the right place for feedback on your lyrics. I must admit, that I can see from your short introduction above that you are having some troubles with the language.
For example: "... where I did a good work with words ... I recognize ... too much confusion." If you do a good work with your words -- then there won't be a lot of confusion.
By "not looking for a corrector" I assume you mean you don't want posters offering their own wording. It sounds like you just want people to point out where your wording or intent is unclear to them. Is that what you mean by advise?
Clearing this up is important, so that posters do not unintentionally offer offense!
I look forward to seeing your lyrics.
Sincerely, Steve (aka, simonsays)

Re: Lyrics reviewer
Hi Steve,
thank you for your quick answer.
Yes, More than having problem with language, I think to have problem with song lyrics. I confirm what you say: I'm looking for somebody who could review my lyrics and tell me where my wording or intent is unclear. Maybe I could think about a collaboration, but honestly I seems a bit too ambitious: I don't think to be a great writer, but I really like most of my lyrics. Honestly, I'd like to avoid taking lyrics from another person, because I don't like to sing about somebody's else emotions. But... never say never.
Anyway, I'm writing a new lyrics and I'm going to post it soon.
Thank you so much for you answer.
Cheers
