Hi James,

So good! Your voice is so unique and identifiable. I think you captured a Mumford and Sons feel quite nicely...with a touch of Milky Chance (Down By The River/Stolen Dance/Flashed Junk Mind) and Lumineers thrown into the mix as well. To my ears, at least.

I really like the interjections “Whew, Ha, Whew, Hey at 1:40-1:51. Awesome.

In my opinion, for what it’s worth, your song stands on its own without benefit of a bridge but if you absolutely feel it needs another change for more interest then perhaps a short one line refrain (For example: You got me crazy or You drive me crazy or Won’t take maybe) at 1:55 to 2:05.

I really like this song, thanks!

Bob Dylan does bluegrass

Ok, maybe that is what Mumford and Sons are?? :? Not familiar with them.

I liked it!

As far as a bridge or change? I don't know, something with harmonica?

Nice work! I like it! If you are going for a true Mumford and Sons feel it might be worth it to add more reverb or FX to your vocal so it doesn't feel so up close and intimate since their vocals usually have a 'further back' kinda feel. :)

Foot stomping stuff for sure. Have no idea how you practice to do that with your voice. It is unique. Maybe a little harp here in there?

Like your stuff a lot

Sincerely

Paul

Good track, Jim, and great vocal. But, to my ears, the Mumford sound is more shouted, whereas your vocal is close and intimate.

I can hear a big gang chant for a bridge – worth pursuing, I reckon.

Nice work.

thanks for the complement Paul, really glad you thought it was foot stopping lol.. harp? hmm.. wish i could play i good take..lol

thanks Nick, thanks for vocal complement too .. i'd like to know more about the gang chant/bridge idea..
*can you tell me more what you were thinking..?

i'm fairly relieved you ALL thought my experimental vocal was tolerable ..
i'm not completely confident AS if this vocal style is usable..
but i'm happy about the positive support..

THANKs !

...and humble too!

Have become a fan of your folk vocal style (sound and delivery) in a short amount of time.

Unique, avant garde and usable. Support well-earned. :D
