Mastering opinion

Post by JonathanEarthenMusic » Fri Nov 01, 2024 1:33 pm

LOL, so I remember Michael talking about a big bag or diaper full of poop on one of the taxi tv episodes, and I think it was regarding mastering??

And so I'm wondering... do you think this mixing/mastering job is just too much? are the drums too pounding?

Would appreciate any thoughts: https://www.taxi.com/members/ocDl4_2KTS ... stmas-dear

Same old problem again. Link not working.
Log out, clear your browser cash, then try the link. You'll probably get Error 404, so something needs fixing, like making tracks public.

It seems a right of passage for every new forum poster to have trouble linking to tracks in their Taxi account, and some never managed to crack the code (but at least Soundcloud links usually work - as long as the track still exists).

I really hope Taxi find a way to make it easier for everyone and end the frustration. :o :? I'm sure ML will be telling everyone at the Rally that the forum is a great resource, and I agree, but its such a shame that every new member's first experience is being informed that their link doesn't work. Come on Taxi!!

Our friend Paulie made this helpful video on how to share a link to a song on your Taxi page.

Thank you kindly! But it appears that I can't even share my own taxi profile, I can view the URL of my profile when I am logged in, but I cannot see it when I am logged out.... Correct me if I'm wrong, but we all have a public taxi profile URL... right? For instance, is your taxi profile something like taxi.com/members/caseyh?

Thank you very kindly, good points indeed! But it seems I cannot even figure out my own public taki profile URL. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we all have a public URL, something like taxi.com/members/yourname.... right? I can view my member profile when I am logged in, but that same URL doesn't work when I am logged OUT.... weird.

Log in to your Taxi account which is different than your forum account. Some people confuse their forum login name with their main Taxi login name which may not be the same. It sounds like you already doing that. Click "Edit Profile" on the right. The page will be "Edit Artist Profile". Scroll down to "TAXI Link (Add text to complete the link)". Check what it says there and edit as you need to. Yes, it will be taxi.com/members/yourname per what you have there. Always use all lower case when referencing it, even if there are upper case letters in the name.

HTH!

Yes, that's exactly what I did... and it's really weird, the profile url works only when I am logged into my taxi account (not my forum account, yes, I know those are two different things). Looks like this might be an issue I'll have to get fixed when member services is back in the office, thanks though for the help casey

Yea, you'll have to contact Taxi. This might be a bad week to do it as they are extremely busy with rally stuff. Next week would be better.

The only time I had the problem you are having is when I put upper case letters in the URL. For some reason, the system only likes lower case in URL. But it sounds like you got that covered.

Here's an idea that you may have tried. Change your member name and try again? Clear your cache and cookies afterwards and test.
