Re: Mesa Boogie, or Marshall
Some other things I noticed...The Les Pauls' sound awful when using the toggle switch in the "up" position. Muddy as all heck. Marshalls and Mesa's are both meant to be played LOUD! Thats how you get your best sound. That makes it a bit complicated for me in my church. We like to rock, but that about parts the blue hairs on my aunts head. I enjoyed reading about the Palmer pdi-03, but i couldn't find one round these parts. Maybe I'll just build a sound box to go over my amp and mic it.

I was thinking about hearing a guitarist play through a Fender Blues Jr. awhile ago, and thought it sounded great. I asked the guy how many watts it was, and was astonished when he said "15 watts." I thought it was easily 30-40 watts.http://www.fender.com/products/search.p ... 3205000Ern

Turns out I didn't have to decide, I bought both. Yep, I just picked some money off the tree in the backyard...Actually, I bought Line 6's Podxt system. It gives you some really nice variety on amps, cabs, and a whole bunch of stompboxes. So now I can dial up what I want, and play it. This unit is made for recording as well. It has a USB port and well.... stuff. Check it out on Line 6's site, or sweetwaters site.

I've been drooling over that unit, Rock. When I played the SC Blues Festival a couple of years ago, one of the other acts (Hans Olson) was using the old POD and he loved it--he sounded great too. So when this first came out my ears pricked up. It has some great reviews.Could you pluck another bushel of dollars from that tree and send them over so I can get one too?

Sorry, but those dang squirrels must've got the last bit. What's nice is that after sneaking it into the house, my wife didn't even have a fit when she saw it. I played it at church today. I think the roof rose a little.
