Re: Mix Advice-Alt Country-NEW version
Wow, I think I missed this earlier...I like the tapping beats... very nice guitars as always...Gr8 performances, vox & all...I like the slight rawness of the production, in a good sort of way... very natural & the mix is well balanced too...Holy smokes!! That slide guitar lead just blew me away!!!Coolness!!Kel

Great job Mojo! My 2c: Now I'm just listening on a laptop, and I'm not up with this genre at all, but is the vocal a tad loud? I mean just a bit?Cheers,Scott

Re: Mix Advice-Alt Country-NEW version
By modern standards the vocal is mixed high, and should read that way on small speakers-wish I had a mono transistor radio to check, heh. On larger systems, it's supposed to be thumpin' like a big ol' Wurlitzer jukebox-at least that's the plan. I get really annoyed watching country award shows where they mix everything like a modern rock record, or a Stones disc, where the voice is treated as just another instrument-but I suppose it's somewhat appropriate, since the bands are actually playing what we used to call Southern Rock. Thanks, Kel, that's Tommy Huse on the pedal steel, he cut six tunes in a little less than three hours, he's an absolute monster. (or, more accurately, an impolite west coast term that I won't use, here, Von and JazzStan know the one I mean, heh)

Mojo I just love this..... Sorry I missed. What perfect vibe & beat.... I jus love little ditties like this... I know you said no song comments, but your breezy light airy production has to take some credit for this little gem... them doubling rubber band lead tones are the sh_t..... I can smell the coconuts on Coney Island dude!!~Chris
