Mix Bus Compression: An Almost Foolproof Recipe

Post by mojobone » Fri Jun 12, 2015 10:42 pm

I hear from folks who are confused by this topic. It does take some time to learn to hear compression, but hey, the more compressors you play with, and the more presets you flip through, the easier it gets. It also helps to listen to lots of well-recorded music on your studio monitors.

Anyways, if you don't know where to begin, but don't want to just flail about at random...here ye be: http://joelambertmastering.com/blog/mix ... -settings/

nice!

part 1 and 2 are also enlightening.

And this looks to be a 6 part series so I am going to be tuning into to parts 4-6 as well.
