Thanks Les.

FYI I deliberately didn’t use a standard drum kit. I’ve got enough songs in the canon already arranged in that fashion - I need to branch out more. :)

Hey All,

I just got this one signed, but I'm in desperate needs of some a la's for the paper work. Can anyone help? Same link, but here it is for convenience:

Thanks,

My ears and tastes are probably too 'vintage' to give you any contemporary a la ideas.
Up until the harmonies come in, and when it's just solo vocal, it sounds like a song that could've come from Jackson Browne - or a playlist in that feel.
Congrats on getting a buyer for it; that's a good "sign"... pardon the pun. Maybe validation & reward are better words for it.

OK, I don't know if I've earned enough cred around here to comment, but here are my thoughts. :)
As far as the mix goes, the lead vocal is in a mono reverb, so to my ears, it doesn't sound like it's in the same space as the rest of the band.
Once the backing vocs come in then it seems to sortof tie in.
The distorted guitar near the end sounds just really big and flabby and mushy. I wonder if you could thin that out a bit with eq so it gets a little more definition in the mix.

This seems to fit in to the "singer / songwriter" genre. There's a lot of latitude there for things that sound kindof country, and kindof not.

Just my thoughts. :)

HMMM, check out Griffin House or Jason Walker, some of his older stuff. This might be generally where your song sits.

It means "similar to" or "sounds like" I don't know if the letters actually mean something..
