FUTURE BASS INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a very successful, NON-Exclusive Music Library that gets tons of placements in TV Shows, Films, and TV Commercials. They’re on the hunt for Mid-To-Up-Tempo Instrumental Cues that are in the general stylistic range of the references below:

“Light” by San Holo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOFTqVi-qp4

“In The Name Of Love” by Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeGfss2vsZg

“Alone” by Marshmello: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALZHF5UqnU4

Although the references have vocals, this request is for Instrumentals only. Please send them well-crafted Future Bass Instrumental Cues that use very modern, up-to-date sounds and super current production techniques. Build your submissions around a catchy central melodic theme, and keep it interesting, dynamic, and forward-moving by layering electronic elements in and out as your Instrumental Cue progresses. Be sure to throw in some cool breaks, drops, and ear candy to help make your Cue exciting and cutting edge!

All submissions should be about 90 seconds long (give or take). If you go a little long, don’t sweat it! Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Please do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast quality is needed.

Hi Elliott,

Nice track you’ve got here.

I think your melodic/harmonic elements are on point and your drums sound like they have a nice punch to them just listening on earbuds. I’d check the sub bass but I’m not near my studio now.

I think the lead at the start is a little loud. I would turn it down or shave off a bunch of high end on the lead and shorten the intro to start around :20. I used to love making longer intros but have been advised against in feedback from publishers. You can always move part of your intro to the B section.

The only other advice would be to ease up on those snare fills in the drop or maybe use a different quieter snare sound for the fills. Save the bigger fills for every four/eight bars or so.

One last thing, I’ve been advised to avoid using any foley sounds (which I know are a fundamental element of the future bass genre) because it can clash with the visual on the screen. Sounds like a gremlin breath or something cool sounding like that in there that you might sub out for a more neutral less visually evocative sound.

Overall though I like the mix levels on your drum elements and like I say, the happy/playful/fun chords and melodies are on point. Reminds me of the future bass subgenre dofflin.

I’m just getting into this TV music thing so I’m no expert, but those are my opinions as someone who loves producing future bass. Good luck!
