most influential class - has helped a lot...

Post by funsongs » Mon Feb 22, 2016 12:38 pm

After hanging out as a looky-loo on the forums & TAXI TV chat room for a couple of years,
I finally took the plunge and joined back on June 1 2015, in time to make plans to attend the November rally.
I do not yet have any home recording gear - and that may not happen at all... or, at least not in the very near future.

However, since returning from the convention I've been busy with getting musicianship help from other Taxi members to finish up songwriting projects that had been far too long on the shelf.

To the point of my subject line - Pat Patterson's class about blending lyric & music... and the examples he used when it comes to emphasis on the important words in a phrase (sounds simple, right?)...
helped me to make considerable improvements to songs that 'lacked' in that department.

Having that lesson of awareness, has been extremely helpful in my writing, I think.

As I move into year 16 of my 5-year plan, I hope to have material to submit to appropriate listings...
some day. :? :)
