Mp3 or wav Level view

Post by Rockinpop » Tue Nov 02, 2021 2:05 pm

I'm looking for an App or program that would allow me drop my mp3s or wav files into it, to view the levels... similar to the the way our submissions look on our TAXI page.
I'd like to see how they look before submitting my music onto TAXI.
Thanks,
Ron

If you want a free look at your track's graphics (i.e. for highs, lows, edit points) open a free Soundcloud account, and post them there.
You can set them to PRIVATE, so that only a link from you will allow others to comment or manipulate them.
HTH.
(take a look at mine, if that's what you mean)...

EDIT: your own TAXI page has that graphic, by the way.
Maybe you mean something different - to 'see' your track?

AND... the first song on your TAXI page - with the big 'block'-looking wave/graphic...
with little-to-none highs & lows... is a mix commonly referred to as the "stick of butter" form.
Others tend to look like fish bones - which could be a good thing.

Hi Peter,
What I see on our Taxi pages is exactly what I'm looking for, but in an app or program in my computer. I'd like to take an mp3 of a popular song and compare to what I do.
So my options:
1. Upload files onto Taxi (have it)
2. Upload files onto Soundcloud, privately (have it)
3. No other app or program that allows me to view as "*"...correct? There must be something out there.
ML talks about looking at the files on Taxi and seeing, at a glance, if it's worth even opening.
Thanks
Ron

If you have room on your Soundcloud page - you can upload an mp3 to do the comparison - then delete it; no?
And set it to PRIVATE, as well.

Doesn't your DAW show you this? Import the mp3 of the popular song as a track in your DAW session. Then you can see it's waveform, view the level bar as it goes up and down, etc.

No, never upload a known song that you have no (c) permissions on to Soundcloud.

:? ... of course not... if it's got a (c)... see? Sí!
Your mileage (and fine or sentence) may vary.
