Hi guys,
It's me again with another greenhorn question.
So I've seen Music Library Report online and it appeals as I'm trying to get my music to the relevant companies that might consider signing some of my work.
I just wanted to see what your collective opinions are, I want to be able to pitch to the right people the right way but there are so many companies out there that it's hard to know how best to start, and although I'm at a fairly decent standard (had a number of forwards), I doubt the big hitters would take someone like me on as I've no former credits really.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As ever, thank you for your reply. Absolutely top notch advise. I suppose I need to do some serious objective looks at my work and think about what I do best. i think they are a good resource per lib hunting. but imo their library reviews are a bit misleading, so take comments and opinions with a grain of salt. i and many others have gotten opposite exp from the praised and non praised libs there
dont get hung up on credits, if they listen to your tracks (thats the barrier) and hear something they like, they'll reach out for sure

I think it's overly expensive for what it is and I've seen good reviews of libraries I have foud to be poor, and poor reviews of libraries I have found to be good.
It might just be that some of the people doing the reviewing aren't a good fit for the libraries clients but yo won't reeally know that unti you've signed a buch of music there and given it some time.

Some years ago I bought a lifetime subscription for half price. I recommend that deal if you can get it.
As for library advice, I take it all with a grain of salt, I wouldn't want it to be my only source of library info, but I've picked up some good bits from time to time.
I actually really like the forum for exchanging info about the music industry, as well as occasional interesting articles from the owners.
In my opinion MLR is run by good sincere folks who are also composers, just trying to provide a needed service.
