Post by Noego » Thu Mar 14, 2019 9:43 am

Hi yall. Can anyone recommend a good muted trumpet collection or part of collection. Like Don Henley's New York Minute? Sure thats real but that kind of idea.
Thx.

cheaper: Native instruments Session Horns Pro has a muted tpt that you can play solo https://www.native-instruments.com/en/p ... horns-pro/

more expensive and convincing: Sample modeling https://www.samplemodeling.com/en/products_trumpet.php

there are others. do some google searching.

good luck!

I don't remember if this has mutes or not, but it's free.

https://gigasamples.com/giga-sample/trumpet-mix/

Full disclosure, this is my site, but as I said, nothing costs money. Free as in beer. I've had this site for a long time and gigasamples will import into Kontakt as well as the free Linux Sampler (works on all platforms).

Hope that helps.

I've used Waves Factory - Muted Trumpet several times, I love it and the price is awesome.

What Andy said; I get a lot of mileage from NI's Session Horns Pro. Don't overlook modeled brass; I used WIVI trumpets for a Ring Of Fire-type Mariachi riff that ended up on a record, and so far, no one has noticed they were programmed.

Thanks everyone. Ive had East West for years but I guess I should lean into Kontakt now. At least their K5 player. Everyone seems to develop for their format.

Appreciate all your help. There is some great choices here.

Lou.
