I was just looking in my bank account online to see if my IRS refund arrived yet and I saw a deposit dated 3/17 for almost $300 from... BMI. Third quarter of 2016, two placements on the Kardashians. Holy crap... this just made my day. This is my FIRST BMI statement, I guess it took a while for the document to reach my BMI account because I didn't see it on BMI Royalty Day last month.
THANK YOU Michael Laskow and thank you Taxi family. Thank you to my mentors, thank you to the screeners that gave me great feedback. This deposit happened specifically because I attended the rally and met a library owner face to face. Nothing happened at the rally, I followed up with a casual email the week after, we traded a few messages and then hit the ground running in January of 2016.
I'm elated, and hope that this is the first step in my own earnings chart that moves up and to the right.
