My First Deal Through TAXI

Post by markmeilander » Wed Jul 20, 2011 9:10 am

I've always wanted to post in this section of the forum! :D

I just signed my first deal through a TAXI forward. It's been an amazing journey since I joined in September 2009. The musical and career focus that I have gained in that time, along with the vast improvements in my writing and production skills, simply would not have been possible without TAXI.

Thanks to Michael and his staff for running a wonderful company and thanks to the screeners for the advice and for the returns that force me to get better with every submission... 183, 319, and 320 particularly stand out in my mind as continually pushing me to get my productions to that next level. Your work is appreciated.

I also have to state how important this forum has been to me. The generosity and shared knowledge from all of the members in regards to both this business and the technology that we all use has been a huge help. In addition, the "Forwards" and "Success Stories" sections should be required reading for anyone trying to get things going in this business. We all get a bit frustrated from time to time with how things are progressing and, for me, having these forums to go to - a place to actually see people succeeding every day, a place where real people are working hard and creating their own success, a place where you get to celebrate other people's success and visualize your own - is a constant inspiration.

Thanks for indulging me with the chance to celebrate this little milestone.
Now it's time to forget it and get back to work, new listing deadlines are approaching!

And to anyone having any doubts...
Never give up.

Cheers!

Thanks Mark, Kayle! :D

And if that wasn't enough, they contacted me again just a few days later for another TAXI forward and signed that track as well...

Thanks TAXI.

Nice one Mark! Congrats!!

The first one is always so exciting, and it doesn't end! It's an exciting business to be in, it has it's ups and downs for sure, but the ups are well worth celebrating! Woo Hoo!!

The generosity here is quite inspiring, for sure. Giving back is one way of declaring that there's enough for everyone, and we're all in this together.

On to the next step in the journey, and back to the studio!!

Cheers!

congrats.

If deals were given based on how nice a person was, you'd have a file cabinet full of them by now!

I am really happy for you, and feel sure many more are coming.
