My First Forward

Post by jsaras » Tue Nov 13, 2007 9:38 pm

Hey, I just wanted to chime in about my first forward. It was for a dispatch listing for an instrumental from a music library for tv news, 30 and 60 second spots. It only took me a couple of hours to write and record.I'm just starting my second year with Taxi but haven't submitted much, just about 5 or 6 songs. In case anybody wants to take a listen it's calles "Zanzibar" at www.taxi.com/jsarasmusicJohn

Very cool - Sound like Africa, though I've never been there! Seems very useable, nice job!

Congrats on your first forward! It's inspiring to read about your success- I hope to be able to write a similar post before too long. May it be the first of many for you!

Way to go, johno. I remember my first forward like it was yesterday (God, that makes me sound like Grandpa Simpson!...). Back then, I was still mailing in all my submissions. I unlocked my P.O. box and found this weird postcard in there. As I'm looking over it, I notice the name of one of my songs on it... When I realized what it was, I screamed at the top of my lungs in the middle of the street.Congrats, man. Let there be a long line of more behind it.Ted

Congrats! I like it-very atmospheric. I also like the way your one track contains multiple length versions. That might be a good plan for those upcoming 10 15 30 second listings.
