My first Uke track - thoughts?
I am trying my hand at creating some happy Uke music. Here's my first showable track. I'd appreciate any feedback.

Sounds good, would work well for like a pharmaceutical advert or infographic slideshow. On the mix side, i'd tame the higher lead uke. its a little piercing, some of those resonances can be cut out and even turning the lead down to where it just sits right on top of the rest of the mix. All in all, sounds good. Havn't seen a listing for these in a few months now, but i'm sure one will come around soon.

Hi Lamar,
Nice track. Not a UKE expert but just a comment on the shakers in and out of the track, maybe just bring it in after 4 or 8 bars and take it out towards the end or not, it is kind of distracting and abrupt.
Good luck

Thanks for listening, Andre. I'll go back over the arrangement and try to make the shaker track less distracting.

Thanks for listening and writing. Sorry, that I didn't respond earlier to your post. You are absolutely right about the octave uke track. It needs to be softened a bit.

With the 'tweaks' recommended by others, sounds like a place-able commercial piece.
TBH - upon first hearing that higher octave part - I wondered if it was MIDI. played on a keyboard.
Was that all LIVE, real ukulele? All on the same instrument? I own a KALA Soprano - which, IMHO, is the most
'authentic-Hawaiian-sounding' of the bunch, vs. a tenor, etc.
Good luck with it.
