My Little slice of the forest
Fun to see what others are working in. Here is my room.
Nothing too fancy.
Yamaha C3 Midi Grand Piano (which is a bit fancy).

Room Size: 15.5' x 13.5' x 9' ceilings. - GIK Acoustic treatment in all corners and a couple on first reflection points
Mac: 2010 iMac 27" + 24" Apple Cinema Display + External Hard Drives
Monitors: Adam A5 on home made, sand filled stands
Interface: Apogee Duet FW interface
Mics: AKG C2000b, Blue Bluebird, SM58
SE Reflection Fliter
Misc Hand percussion and snare drum
Lava Lamp (because every studio needs one)
Bottomless Cup of Coffee

Cool Kayle, love the Lava Lamp! You're right, every studio needs one. I'd bet that hundreds of our members have them!

That's one heck of a treehouse... how'd you get all that heavy stuff up there?!
Gotta get me a lava lamp, for sure now. Clearly... I've been missing out.

Great looking spot, Kayle. The bottomless cup of coffee and the lava lamp really tie it all together. Oh, and are those a couple of old church chairs? Or maybe old movie theater seats? Maybe even auditorium seats?

Re: My Little slice of the forest
Target has Lava Lamps for $19 I think, lots of choices these days. Or you could go to the time-tested Spencers at your local mall.
Really nice layout, I'd love to have a baby grand. The local Steinway dealer here is going out of business, so "everything must go" but I don't have the space or money right now.
You guys are all making me feel guilty, now I need to clean my studio.

Yeah, Matt. They are a couple demo seats from a local theater. We bought them at a fund raising auction.VanderBoegh wrote:Great looking spot, Kayle.
