My new YouTube Channel

Post by VanderBoegh » Wed Oct 09, 2024 1:18 pm

Hey everyone! Welp, after years of getting poked and prodded to do something like this (and just as many years of me resisting the idea), I've finally decided to create a YouTube channel dedicated to "The Vander Boegh Method of Music Composition".

I've only got a handful of videos up so far, but have more in the can that I'll release every couple of days, and enough ideas at the moment to keep this momentum going for quite a while. So, if you've ever wondered what the secret to my success is, look no future. I'm gonna give away all my little tips, tricks, strategies, insights, and failures before I'm done, so if you want a different perspective on how you can rise above the pack in this game, come by and check out a video or two. Or, subscribe to the channel if you're so inclined.

These videos are longer versions of the tricks & strategies I dole out during Road Rally Mentor Lunches and One-on-Ones, so if you've never joined me during one of those (or DID join and have forgotten the basics of the tips), you can get the elaborated content right here.

I would in no way categorize anything you'll find as "Expert Music Advice"..... so scratch the word "Expert" and we'll just leave it at "music advice". Hopefully it helps you - and if nothing else, maybe it'll give you a little chuckle along the way.

Click this link, and you'll be taken to the main page of my channel:

See you at the Road Rally!

Howdy, 'Professor' - well welcome to "The Club" - for us older guys on limited budgets.
YouTube is still one of the FREE platforms (I still use Soundcloud & Bandcamp)...
Cheers, Peter.

Heya Peter! Thanks for stopping by and checking things out, as always!

Yeah, the Padres are sure looking good - how exciting for you!

With all the college football conference shakeups, realignments, and new playoff system, things are looking good this year for my Broncos. Other than losing by a few points due to a last-second field goal by Oregon in Week 2, we're rolling through our schedule and have a Heisman worthy running back who is just flat-out torching defenses. Lotta football left to play, but we're in a good spot right now.

I might be "a little" biased, but these videos Matt has been doing are absolute gold!

Why not both??

Matt, these videos are a great idea, and I appreciate that you've put them in bite size chunks. I don't have the attention span anymore to sit through a 45 minute instructional video. Definitely going to be checking these out!

Hahahaha too funny, Casey! Boy oh boy, I haven't even TOUCHED a weight in about 3 weeks now. When you see me in November, you're gonna think "who's this roly-poly, and what did he do with Matt???", lol.

And Pickle, thanks for the note of encouragement. I hope you (and anyone who watches them) gets some nugget of wisdom out of them, even if it's just thinking "don't ever let me do things like this wild idiot!"

I'd be interested to hear more thoughts, as well as even some suggestions / questions for future videos, as I'm sure I'll run out of material to talk about at some point.....

(I'm Geoff, btw. Pickle is my kid's nickname, and the name of my LLC :D )

I'll definitely let you know. I've watched my fair share of this kind of video over the last year and have opinions about them. I'm sure yours are all going to be great (like I said, being relatively short is a great start) but I'll let you know if I have any constructive thoughts.

Oh, also, I'll raise your 3 weeks and say it's been 10 years since I've lifted a weight. Guess I'll need to figure out a different topic for my youtube channel
