Sweet! You have such a great voice. I think you've done a great job on this. The lyrics might be a little too literal based on what's written in the listing but I'd definitely say to go for it cos the tune is certainly quirky, upbeat and hooky.

Good one!

Mark

Very George Harrison. I loved the song. The listing requested that we didnt write anything with the lyrics coffee in it so I dont see how it is out of the running or too on the nose in that regard. I think its great. I dont get why ad agencies just dont go on the nose for their ads that tie in with the product. Makes me scratch my head a little but ah well just give them what they want eh? ;)

You definitely know what your doing John.
There's a taxi tv show about getting forwards for ad's and one thing they prefer you do not do, is add sound effects.
They will add them .
Your coffee brewing sound is not very dominant so you might get away with it, but if the sound effect doesn't
match up with the visual it would be returned.
Having said that, the melody and production is amazing.
I'm surprised your not already working for a high end jingle house.

Rich.

Hey Rich,

Well with the jingle houses I used to be actra and get hired to sing the commercials ,
and its a tight clique to get into.
maybe this could lead to something like that for a library

I appreciate your comments.
I wrote this last night to the listing
Got a question for ya..
I think your a dispatch member , right?
How quick are u recieving your listings?

And with lots of these URGENT listings lately , is this simliar to that?

I got my eyes on it. 8-)

I am and it's well worth it, if you have a substantial catalogue and can work quickly .
You do get more listings that are ASAP postings. ( 1-2 day deadlines )
If you follow their guidelines regarding lyrics that are not location, name specific and negative you will find that a lot of your tunes will fit a wide range of categories.
For tv/film you can get away with lyrics that may be melancholy, but for ads keep it positive.
Also , have instrumental versions of your tracks ready. ( with and without a lead melody )
Read all the postings and you will start to see similarities in styles, especially for ads and film/tv.
I'm still new to this and I'm working on building up a large catalogue.

Rich.
