Mysterious sound effect in one of our examples

hi All,
I have an unusual question.
there is currently a call out - TAXI Dispatch # D240226BU
and the musical example provided is called ' a gleam of hope.'
(sorry tried to add the link, couldn't quite work it out)
anyway, at the 54/55 second mark it has this lovely shimmering slowly rising Hi hat. (or something that sound like a high-hat), but it comes in slowly and build up. this may be an unanswerable question but how does one create that sound, I would have so many uses for it, but have no idea how to create it.

Hi, without hunting for the listing, the ref track and the sound, my guess from your description is that it could be a reversed cymbal. If you take a crash cymbal sample and reverse the sound (all DAWs offer that option) it'll fade in slowly and might get close to what you want. You can also add FX to it like modulation, filtering, gating, phasing, etc to get closer or to get something entirely different. Here's one recipe, but you can do as much or as little as you choose before and after reversal...

You don't have to use crash cymbals either, it could be pink noise, or a snare or whatever you want. Its a common way to create 'ear candy' transitions into new sections. If you want to go crazy with it you might consider this handy plugin that can be applied to to any individual sound or even your whole mix...

I think Telefunkin is correct on all accounts. Sounds like a layered sound of reverse cymbal + white or pink noise. Maybe even a pitch rise automation going on there.
