Need Advice

Post by kyarson » Fri Jan 11, 2013 2:26 pm

Can some of you take a look at my songs on Taxi and tell me which genres to pitch in?
I am having a real hard time figuring out what songs I have and what vibe the give.
So far I have great vocals, great musical production(broadcast quality) but missing the mark on musical style they are looking for in the pitches.
I don't want to keep guessing at this and wasting my money. Is there anyone out there that can help me?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks KY

Heya Kim.

Welcome to the forums. People usually introduce themselves in the general hangout. It gets more action. For questions like the one you've posted here, the peer to peer section works well.
It is also helpful to provide a link to your TAXI page in your post if that is where you have songs you'd like opinions on. (You could also put a link in your signature through the user control panel.)

you could consider a custom critique as well from TAXI and ask specifically what genre you song falls into and ask for some a la's. I have done several of these and found them to be pretty helpful.

Kim, I listened to 'In this Moment' on your website and to me you sound quite a bit like Alanis Morrisette - both your vocal and the light rock sound you have. I would classify your sound as Adult Contemporary.
