New Demo

Post by rockmann » Thu Feb 16, 2006 7:26 am

Hi all,We've got another song in 'demo' mode. I think this one could be pretty good when it's all said and done. It's a fairly complete mix, just need to improve on the drum track and a couple of other little things.http://project43.steve-mann.com/music/c ... .mp3Lyrics are here: http://project43.steve-mann.com/cz_lyrics.htmlWould appreciate any feedback!! Thanks!

It' great to hear some melodic rock and even more amazing because you have done this on line.I would be interested to know "who does what".Great song, the only negative comment I have is I don't like the "slicer" before the guitar break (proper)begins. We have just had "The Brit Awards" over here (UK) and there is a definite return to people who can play real instruments and sing so you are definatly on the right track.(no pun intended). In fact Prince is playing a brilliant live set as I type and watch the re-run.UUUMMMMM real music!

Hi Michael,Thanks, I'm glad you liked the tune. It's still a work in progress, but it's getting there. Made some changes last night that seem to help.As for who does what, both Charlie and I do a little of everything. It really depends on the song. This particular song is one of my creations so I did all the guitar, vocals and drum programing. Charlie laid down the bass track. I'm doing most of the mixing with a little assistance from Charlie. On some of the tunes that Charlie wrote, the roles are mostly reversed, but I may do the guitar solos with Charlie doing all the rhythm guitars, bass and drums. Sometimes we'll both do rhythm guitar parts. It's just however it seems to work out on any given song.I'm glad to hear it sounds like 'real music' is on its way back. I knew if I hung around long enough, I'd be back in style again. Thanks for taking the time to listen and share your thoughts. It is appreciated.

More changes have been added. It's probably at a place where it will stay for awhile unless we get further input from folks.http://project43.steve-mann.com/music/c ... .mp3Thanks again to everyone for taking the time to listen.
