it uses mid/side. the monomaker let's you set the freq threshold by ear to route all the freq below the threshold to the mid, stereo width control, a correlation meter to check phase, panning of the mid and sides, balance control and meters, and
peak and rms meters. It's 13x the price,lol, but I think it gives the better picture of what you are doing.

Yeah, but. For ten smackers, it's a no-brainer, and ideal for individual tracks, as opposed to entire mixes/stems.
