Re: Novelty (Bluegrass-Humor) Swizzle Stick EDM-hybrid
BUMP - update - YIKES!
It's gonna be a down-to-the-wire thing, and it would be a first; gotta booking on Thursday to attempt to put a programmed track behind this Bluegrass band...
seems like a stretch. Even if it seems to be working, we'll only have this one shot at meeting the midnight 12/6 deadline.
YEOW...

Re: Novelty (Bluegrass-Humor) Swizzle Stick
Hey Peter
The only suggestion I have is lyrical. If the male vocalist is the lead singer, I'd switch it around so that he's the swizzle stick (for the double meaning):
Stirred and shaken lets cut to the quick
If you're my martini I'm your "Swizzle Stick"
Yes If you're my martini
I'm your "Swizzle Stick"
And in the bridge:
Let me be the one to swizzle your drink
My mind goes numb and it's hard to think (you'd need to change this line)
Whether straight-up or on the rocks
One swizzle with you... and there go my socks!!
Best of luck with it, whatever you decide.

I was intentionally stirring away from it being that.mikemichnya wrote: ↑Tue Dec 04, 2018 8:31 pmHey Peter

Thanks for the ears, just the same.

Fun song with amazing banjo, Peter! Wasn't this reviewed on Taxi TV a while ago? I think I remember it from there.
Hope you can make it - good luck!

Your memory serves you well - yes, this song was reviewed by Robin Frederick during a pre-YouTube episode of TAXI TV.MSteinmann wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 6:50 amFun song with amazing banjo, Peter! Wasn't this reviewed on Taxi TV a while ago? I think I remember it from there.

While it didn't pass the mustard for film & TV - both she and Michael were laughing... so, I was satisfied that the song hit its intended target: the funny bone!
Thanks for noticing.

UNFORTUNATELY - though the ref track leaned to the Bluegrass side of Country, the song got returned for not being Country enough; therefore, off target.
Oh well.
