Thanks for weighing in on this people.The ambiguity of the listing, as well as some other listings, is what threw me off in this case. The misrepresented listing that airportface submitted to is laughable. If they don't want vulgarity in old punk it should be mentioned. This would have made more sense-OLD SCHOOL PUNK SONGS…….Think along the lines of the Sex Pistols, X-Ray Spex, the Germs, the Clash, the Damned, the Real Kids, etc. Songs with a real "in your face" attitude are needed, but with lyrics that today’s market can palate. Lyrically, think along the lines of Simple Plan, Sum 41, Avril Lavigne or any other MODERN wuss, wannabe punk artist who gets a deer-in-the-headlights look when you mention Sex Pistols, X-Ray Spex, the Germs, the Clash, the Damned, the Real Kids, etc. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK] and Bad recordings are a must. [ terrible home recordings are OK]If the company owner screens the song, then why is there a screener number on the return? And, why aren’t the listings screened by TAXI? Maybe the screeners should screen the listings in their fields of expertise. It’s frustrating to spend money on submissions that look as if they should be split into several listings. (It’s like asking for modern rock that sounds like Nickelback, Green Day, Arcade Fire and Paris (the auto tune has crashed again) Hilton.) Here are some examples of the bands that were in the instrumental listings.---The Dead Boys- SONIC REDUCER. I did, however, smash my face into a brick wall repeatedly for 3 hours afterwards because, you know, I really had it coming. (I didn’t read the book because I’m functionally illiterate and doesn’t have an high EQ.)

(I didn’t read the book because I’m functionally illiterate and doesn’t have an high EQ.)- the company's owner chose to screen for this listing, since they are the powers that be, they are only going to choose the music that fits what they want (just like they would if you submitted directly to them) & what they want is what they want - your stuff could be totally awesome & if that's not what they're looking for, that's not what they're looking for (and if you asked them to describe it, perhaps they'd say "I don't know what I'm looking for but I'll know when I hear it" which is maybe why they screened it themselves) - and you know when you submit to a listing like this there will be no reasons given for returns or forwards;- all screeners are given a dedicated number;- any Taxi member that requires clarification on a listing can call Taxi's customer service and ask about it before submitting;- it's only one return. If the music is hot, it will find a homeH

hey Wade, I think it's the "liveness" of the ala's that's missing in your tracks. It's really tough to get an energetic live sound unless you have a few guys playing together, especially tough if you're not using live drums. I think if you had re-amped the tracks & stereo mic'ed the mix in a live room (maybe bathroom?) it might have helped a lot.As far as a forward from a track being screened by the listing party being a sure "deal" I can assure you that's not the case. I've had a few forwards that were screened by the listing party and haven't heard back (yet!).
