organic-based instrumentation?

Post by lholton » Thu Dec 06, 2018 6:05 pm

I'm composing a response for listing #D181209HP which states..... "Your production should have organic-based instrumentation ". I'd need to get better at converting genre references and terminology like this to actual sounds in my music. What is meant by "organic-based instrumentation "

Without seeing the entire context I would think as opposed to synth based instrumentation. Probably best to post the entire listing and the critique and your track in order get truer understanding of what they're after.

Means you can use sampled instruments, if they sound real enough and usually it also means no obvious loops. IOW, it needs to sound like it was played live, by humans.
