ORIGINAL COUNTRY SONG Indie Film FORWARD! THANK YOU Screener #338

I joined TAXI beginning of May 2018 and started submitting songs since the 9th....12 rejections later...today I got my FIRST FORWARD! for an ORIGINAL, COUNTRY SONG with Female Vocals needed for an Indie Feature Film placement for a song called "My Heart It Just Aches". What makes this extra special is my wife wrote the lyrics, her first and only song on Valentines Day in a Chinese restaurant! I read the lyrics, a melody popped into my head and literally minutes later....This Song!

I have paid my dues as a professional touring musician and know what it feels like to play in front of 35-40,000 people, recording since 1989, commercial studio owner from 1995- 2010 and trying to get my songs heard. I knew about TAXI when they first started, but I didn't have the extra funds to join or pay for submissions and honestly, didn't have the material back then, that I have now.

When I joined in May I set up 4 goals in mind....1. Get a Forward 2. Have a Music Supervisor use my song 3. Hear the song and see my name in the Credits and 4. Get the first check!! Well it has been a long time coming in my songwriting career (46 years to be exact) and I can finally check off Box #1! Thank you to Screener #338 for taking the time to listen all the way through and take a chance on a great country ballad with an awesome vocalist!

I am hoping this Forward will the first of many to come! Best of luck to all of you still waiting for that great feeling of being accepted!

Great report - way to hang in there and keep on doing what you have liked doing, from an Old Guy in The Peanut Gallery who also likes the Old School
Country songs of the George Strait era. Maybe I'll have a similar tale to tell one day.
